An interesting detail is that the body number is stamped on the glove box door under a trim piece.

Once the dash is disassembled for re-upholstery the number is also discovered on the exterior top of the glove box.

It is not only stamped but also written in grease-pencil.  Apparently it was written in error the first time.

Detail of a road wheel, notice the "190SL" at the top of the list of models.  It is also date stamped '58(difficult to read here).

Back of the wheel with the "olive drab" paint

We need to get a shot of the whitewall side!
